William Allen White Children’s Book Winners Announced

Two authors who live on opposite coasts of the United States will come to Kansas in October to accept the 2022 William Allen White Children’s Book Awards. Voters in Grades 3 through 5 selected “Wildfire” by Rodman Philbrick. Voters in Grades 6 through 8 selected “The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise” by Dan Gemeinhart.




Commencement Ceremonies Set for May 13 and 14

Psychology Professor Tapped as 2022 Roe R. Cross Distinguished Professor

A psychology professor with nearly three decades in the field is the 2022 Roe R. Cross Distinguished Professor at Emporia State University. Dr. John Wade was surprised with the announcement during his Psychology in the Real World undergraduate glass this morning (Thursday, May 5, 2022).


Ten Students Qualify for Nationals at the Phi Beta Lambda State Conference

Ten students from Emporia State University’s chapter of Phi Beta Lambda qualified for national competition during the 2022 State Leadership Conference. The conference was held in Cremer Hall, home of Emporia State’s School of Business, and hosted by the local PBL chapter.
