Dining Services with Sodexo
Emporia State University partners with Sodexo to provide residential and retail dining services, as well as catering services, for the campus community. Below is information about the dining venues located in the Memorial Union and meal plans available to the campus community.
Dining Venues
Hornet Express
The Hornet Express, or HX, is a retail dining venue located on the main level of the Memorial Union. The HX offers four dining options including the Sub Connection sandwich station, Grille@Emporia State burgers, chicken, and fries/tots station, Bowlful - healthy grains and protein station and Smoothie station. The HX also offers a variety of bottled and fountain beverages and grab-and-go snacks.
Hornets Nest
The Hornets Nest is the residential dining facility located on the west end of the main level of the Memorial Union. The Hornets Nest is the main dining hall for students.

- Brunch, Lunch & Dinner $9.63
- Kids 6-12 $5.25 for all meals
- Kids 5 & under eat free
