ESU Campus to Close, Foundation Open During Holiday Break

The Emporia State University Foundation will be open during the last week of the year to accept end-of-year gifts. The rest of campus, however, will be closed between noon Friday, Dec. 22 and 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018.


Debate Concludes Fall Semester

The first semester of competition has ended for the ESU debate team. Overall, 14 students participated in weekly practices with most devoting three or more weekends to participate in tournaments across the country.


October Numbers Show Kansas Economy Leveling

The October installment of the Emporia State Economic Index shows that Kansas gross domestic product has leveled off, although it still increased 1.73 percent from October 2017 compared to October 2016.

ESU Theatre Presents Live Radio Broadcast of 'A Christmas Carol'

Emporia State University Theatre’s second annual radio drama performance of “A Christmas Carol,” the timeless classic by Charles Dickens, on December 2 at 7:30 pm in the Karl C. Bruder Theatre. The performance will be streamed online, but it can also be watched live in the theatre. A suggested donation of $5 can be made at the door for the live performance; donations will go toward theatre scholarships. In addition to the livestream on the Emporia State University website, the production will also be broadcast on KVOE Radio.
