Bowl Game Provides Unique Experience for Band Members

When the Farmer's Bank and Trust Live United Bowl football game kicks off at noon tomorrow in Texarkana, Arkansas, all eyes will be on the Emporia State University football student-athletes. Yet there is another group of students who will be in the stadium with their own important role — the Emporia State Marching Hornets.

New Degree Program Combines Two with Dropping Enrollments

A new undergraduate degree program at Emporia State was created by faculty in the Emporia State Department of Social Sciences, Sociology and Criminology who wanted to counter declining enrollments in two separate programs. The new bachelor of science degree in History and Government was approved this month by the Kansas Board of Regents and will launch in fall 2023.


ESU Theatre Presents Dark Comedy ‘God of Carnage'

Emporia State University Theatre presents Yasmina Reza’s dark comedy “God of Carnage” translated by Christopher Hampton for four performances Dec. 1 through 4 in the Ronald Q. Frederickson Black Box Theatre in Roosevelt Hall. Performances are Dec. 1, 2 and 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 4 at 2 p.m.




ESU Theatre Presents ‘Curtains: A Musical Whodunit’ for Homecoming Production

Emporia State University Theatre presents “Curtains,” written by Rupert Holmes with lyrics by Fred Ebb, and music by John Kander, as the 2022 Homecoming musical. Director of Theatre Dr. Pete Rydberg teams up with longtime choreographer partner Cindy Severt for this dance-filled comedy.


Forensic Science Open House Launches Fourth Annual Seminar Series
