Nursing + Student Wellness Center
By constructing a new 32,000-square-foot Nursing + Student Wellness Center, Emporia State University will significantly enhance the academic experience for students and fulfill several logistical and fiscal goals that prioritize infrastructure consolidation and energy consumption. Completion of the new on-campus facility is expected in the fall of 2025.
Feltner Student Union Square
Emporia State University is excited to share the newly reimagined and renovated square. This outdoor area has been transformed to make it a more attractive and enjoyable outdoor space for students, faculty, staff and campus visitors.
The John “Doc” Baxter Athletic Training and Human Performance Lab
Emporia State University is renovating, re-imagining and re-equipping the existing athletic training and human performance labs, transforming them into a modernized, multi-use lab space for learning.

Sand Volleyball Court
A new sand volleyball court was constructed on campus where students can play and compete. The courts are north (and down the hill from) One Room Schoolhouse. Sand volleyball courts were an item students asked for during a survey by Recreation Services.

Prophet Aquatic Research and Outreach Center
The Prophet Aquatic Research and Outreach Center, located on the north end of campus, is home to aquatic ecology research and training could have a worldwide impact on generations to come.

Abigail Morse Hall
Abigail Morse Hall opened in 1924 and Hornets have been calling it home ever since. In August 2020, Abigail Morse Hall re-opened completely remodeled.

Kossover Family Tennis Complex
Kossover Family Tennis Complex is a first-ever concept of this size in the MIAA. It features six new championship-quality tennis courts — two indoor and four outdoor.

The new complex will houses tennis teams' locker rooms, coach's office, players' lounge, student-athlete study area, indoor court viewing deck and outdoor patio. Most importantly, it provides an on-campus, cold-weather tennis training center, a valuable resource that no other MIAA tennis program offers.
