Technology Speaker Presents on Cyber Security

Students Inducted into Honor Society

Phi Eta Sigma is the national scholastic honor society for students with an average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. It is the greatest scholastic distinction a first-year student can attain.


Debate Concludes Two Weeks of Travel

It has been a busy two weeks for the Emporia State Debate team. From Sept. 22 to 24, six Hornets competed at the Ulrich Invitational, hosted by the University of Northern Iowa. Traditionally junior-varsity competitors, these six approached the tournament as a learning opportunity by bravely taking the plunge into the varsity division for the first time this season.

And those repeating attendance at the Kansas Future Teacher Academy will find a new experience.

The Kansas Master Teacher program, which has been honoring teachers for 65 years, recently updated the criteria by which teachers are selected for the award. The program is based out of The Teachers College at Emporia State University.
