Register for for this year’s Nitty Gritty Tye Dye Run by Sept. 11 and get a free T-shirt for the event.
The annual color run will be Sept. 19, beginning in front of Plumb Hall. Sponsored by Community Hornets, proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Flint Hills, Camp Alexander and Emporia Childcare.
During the 5K event, participants are doused with different colors at each kilometer, then the finish line includes a giant “color festival” with more colored powder.
