Children’s Literature Collection
Special Collections and Archives houses several Children’s Literature Collections that represent the history of children’s book publishing and complement the May Massee Collection.
May Massee Collection
The May Massee Collection contains original artwork, books, correspondence, and other materials related to her career as a children’s book editor.
This collection houses nearly 600 titles dating from between 1493 to the mid-20th century.
Walter M. Andersen Collection
The Walter M. Andersen collection contains more than 12,000 photographs, including many historical images of Emporia and Lyon County.
William Allen White Collection
The William Allen White Collection contains correspondence, photographs, publications, and artifacts from White’s personal life and career as editor of the Emporia Gazette.
