Three Finalists for Foundation President to Visit Campus

The three finalists for the Emporia State Foundation president position will visit campus from Monday, Feb. 1 through Thursday, Feb. 4. Included as part of each candidate’s campus visit will be individual meetings with the advancement staff, the Foundation Board of Trustees, Student Foundation members and Student Ambassadors and campus leadership; and an open forum to which the entire campus and general public is invited.

Michael J. Smith, former University of Rhode Island Foundation president, will visit from Feb. 1 through 2. Smith will meet with Emporia State employees, students and community members for an open forum on Tuesday, Feb. 2 in the Kanza Room, Memorial Union, at 8:15 a.m.

Darin Kater, the senior director for development for planned giving and university libraries at Wichita State University, will visit from Feb. 2 through 3. Kater will meet with Emporia State employees, students and community members for an open forum on Wednesday, Feb. 3 in the Kanza Room, Memorial Union, at 8:15 a.m.

Shane Shivley, the vice president for development at the Emporia State Foundation, will be interviewed on Feb. 4. Shivley will meet with Emporia State employees, students and community members for an open forum on Thursday, Feb. 4 in the Kanza Room, Memorial Union, at 8:15 a.m.

Surveys will open the day the candidate arrives in Emporia and close at 11:59 p.m. the day of departure.
