Homecoming Festivities Unite ESU Alumni, Emporia Community

While ESU alumni return to the Hornets’ Nest for Homecoming, the campus welcomes the Emporia community to enjoy the special events. Homecoming 2018 begins Thursday, Oct. 18 and concludes with a matinee of the musical on Sunday, Oct. 21.

Thursday, Oct. 18

  • Sam E. and Jeannene Hayes Lecture, Memorial Union’s Webb Hall, 7:30 p.m., free
  • “Pippin” Homecoming Musical, Bruder Theatre, 7:30 p.m. 

Friday, Oct. 19

  • Children Inspired Glass Show Opening Reception, Second Floor West Side of Visser Hall, 3 to 5 p.m.
  • Preston Family Student Complex Ribbon Cutting, First Floor School of Business (Cremer Hall), 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
  • “Pippin” Homecoming Musical, Bruder Theatre, 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 20

  • Homecoming Parade, Commercial Street, 11:30 a.m.
  • Hornet Football against Missouri Western, Welch Stadium, 2 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 21
