Escape Room Raises Funds for United Way

Can you escape from Professor Umbridge’s office in 45 minutes? Or will the Dementors take you to Azkaban?

A Harry Potter-themed escape room created to ease end-of-semester stress for Emporia State students now is open to the Emporia community as a fundraiser for United Way of the Flint Hills. Created by ESU’s University Libraries and Archives, the escape room in William Allen White Library will be open from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays:

  • Dec. 19-20
  • Jan. 2-3
  • Jan. 9-10

Each 45-minute session will begin on the hour with the final one each day starting at 7 p.m. Each session can accommodate four to six people. The cost is $10 for age 12 and up and $5 for age 11 and younger.

Reservations are required. To schedule, email Terri Summey at tsummey@emporia.eduor Bethanie O’Dell at bodell1@emporia.edu.
