An Emporia State alum returns to campus on Monday for the second session of the Forensic Science Seminar Series.
Olivia Kuckelman, forensic scientist I in the digital evidence division of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation will present “Digital Evidence” at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17 in Science Hall 72.
Kuckelman joined the Kansas Bureau of Investigation as a digital forensic examiner in October 2023. She has been conducting independent casework since September 2024, after completing an extensive training program. Her duties are to recover and preserve electronic devices for the purpose of analyzing data that will aid in the prosecution of criminal cases.
Before her current employment, she interned with the Digital Evidence Section during the summer of 2022. She credits her internship at the KBI in shaping her current career path today. Kuckelman graduated from ESU with a Bachelor of Science in Business, Information Systems in May 2023.
