Presidential Scholarship
To renew the Presidential Scholarship in subsequent years, you must:
- Maintain a 3.0 ESU GPA each year
- Complete 24 ESU credit hours each academic year
If you are an incoming freshman starting in the fall semester, you can renew the Presidential Scholarship for three additional years after the first academic year.
If you are an incoming freshman student starting in the spring semester, you are eligible to renew the Presidential Scholarship for seven additional semesters after their first semester at ESU.
Transfer Scholarship
If you are an incoming transfer with 24 or more transferrable credit hours beginning at ESU in the fall semester, you can renew the Presidential Scholarship for one year after the first academic year.
If you are an incoming transfer with 24 or more transferrable credit hours starting at ESU in the spring semester, you are eligible for half of the award amount in the spring semester and can renew the Presidential Scholarship for one year after the first ESU semester.
If you are an incoming transfer student who does not have 24 or more transferrable hours, you may defer to freshman requirements.
Jones Success Scholarship
To renew the Jones Success Scholarship in subsequent years, you must:
- Complete at least 24 credit hours in their first year, with a 2.25 minimum spring term GPA
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.25 each subsequent semester
- Successfully complete at least 12 credit hours each subsequent semester
- Complete the Jones Scholars Plan for Success with your advisor
- Participate in the Stinger Success Program, which includes:
- Meeting with your academic advisor at least twice a semester
- Successfully completing the first-year seminar and using appropriate campus resources, which includes the Academic Center for Excellence and Success (ACES)
- Participating in the Peer Mentoring Program as a mentee your first year at ESU
