College Goal Sunday 2010


Need help completing the FAFSA? On Sunday, February 21, 2010, College Goal Sunday stages help sessions at different sites across the state of Kansas. Come and go as you please between 2 and 4 p.m. to meet with financial aid professionals and get hands-on help with the FAFSA.  Attend for a chance to win a $500 scholarship!

FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Free Application for Federal Student Aid


The FAFSA is a federal form that uses prior year tax and income information in determining a family's Expected Family Contribution (EFC) to a student's college education.  The form must be completed every year that a student is requesting financial aid for college.  Get started here.

2010-2011

(For Summer 2010, Fall 2010, and Spring 2011 at ESU)

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) 2010-2011 can be completed online beginning January 1, 2010.

Apply for your free PIN to use with your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  Your PIN can also serve as your authorization to use the National Student Loan Data System where you can view a history of the federal student financial aid you have received.  Get started here.

Summer Financial Aid

Summer Financial Aid Information


To be eligible for summer 2010 financial aid you need to:

1. Complete the 2010-2011 FAFSA

2. Be enrolled in a minimum of 5 hours (Undergraduate) or a minimum of 4 hours (Graduate)

Federal Parent PLUS Loans


The Federal Parent PLUS loan is a loan taken out by the parent for the student.  The parent must initially apply for the loan and sign their own Master Promissory Note. However, parents must also initiate the loan every year they are wanting to borrow funds for their student as a credit check is performed each year.  For more information, and to start your application, please go here.

Loan Forgiveness

Perkins and Stafford Loan Forgiveness


In some cases, students may be eligible to have all or a portion of their federal student loans forgiven.  Loan forgiveness is applicable to both the Federal Stafford and Federal Perkins loan programs.  More information on loan forgiveness can be found here.

Updating Your Address


Please make sure you have your correct addresses and phone numbers on file with the Registrar's Office. You can make changes in person in 108 Plumb Hall, or you can also do it online.

College Savings Plan


This program permits people to contribute to education savings accounts to pay post-secondary education expenses for individuals they designate or for themselves. The program allows tax advantages under both state and federal law.  For more information, please go here.
