Free Application for Federal Student Aid
2009-2010 - For Summer 2009, Fall 2009, and Spring 2010 at ESU
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) 2009-2010 can be completed online beginning January 1, 2009. The FAFSA is a federal form that uses prior year tax and income information in determining a family's Expected Family Contribution (EFC) to a student's college education. The form must be completed every year that a student is requesting financial aid for college. Get started here.

to use with your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Your PIN can also serve as
your authorization to use the National Student Loan Data System where you can view a history
of the federal student financial aid you have received.

Summer
Financial Aid Information
To be eligible for summer 2009 financial
aid you need to:
1. Complete the 2009-2010
FAFSA
2. Be enrolled in a minimum of 5 hours
(Undergraduate) or a minimum of 4 hours (Graduate)

Perkins and Stafford Loan Forgiveness
In some cases, students may be eligible to have all or a portion of their federal student loans forgiven. Loan forgiveness is applicable to both the Federal Stafford and Federal Perkins loan programs. More information on loan forgiveness can be found here. |

Updating
Your Address
Please make sure you
have your correct addresses and phone numbers on file with
the Registrar's Office. You can make changes in person in
108 Plumb Hall, or you can also do it online. |
Federal
Parent PLUS Loans
The Federal Parent PLUS loan is a loan taken out
by the parent for the student. The parent must initially
apply for the loan and sign their own Master Promissory
Note. However, parents must also initiate the loan every
year they are wanting to borrow funds for their student
as a credit check is performed each year. For more

College
Savings Plan
This program
permits people to contribute to education savings accounts
to pay post-secondary education expenses for individuals
they designate or for themselves. The program allows
tax advantages under both state and federal law.
