Diversity Leadership Summit | Feb. 2

The Diversity Leadership Summit is a one-day conference for historically marginalized high school students. The Emporia State University faculty & staff encourage students to pursue higher education and help them realize their full potential to be successful leaders of the future. This free conference consists of speakers, workshops, meals, and opportunities for current high school seniors to win Emporia State University scholarships. We welcome any and all to attend.

Friday, Feb. 2 | 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

  • Check-in | 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
  • Welcome | 9:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
  • Keynote Speaker | 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
  • Move to Breakouts | 11:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
  • Breakout Sessions | 11:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Lunch | 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • Student Panel/Ending Remarks/Scholarship Drawing | 12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Optional Campus Tour | 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Where to park + where to go

Campus visitors meet on the east side of the Memorial Union, located at 1331 Market St., Emporia, KS 66801. We have designated admissions parking spots and metered parking just for you in front of the Memorial Union. Don't pay the meter - we will give you a parking pass. We'll be there to greet you just inside the east doors of the union.
