How to join a fraternity or sorority at ESU

You have several opportunities throughout the year to talk to current members in the chapter about how to join. Check us out at E-Experience, Welcome Week or events put on by individual councils. View information about fraternity and sorority recruitment opportunities.

FRATERNITY RECRUITMENT

Interfraternity Council (IFC) Fraternity Recruitment will begin during the first week of classes. Learn what is means to be a fraternity man at the events below and then be sure to check us out on Instagram @estateifc for more information on how to join one of our IFC fraternity chapters.

Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023: Fraternity and Sorority Life Information Night, 6:00 pm in the Flint Hills Room (Memorial Union 2nd Floor)
Wednesday, Aug.23, 2023: Information and House Tours Night, 6:00 - 8:00 pm starting in the Blue Key Room (Memorial Union 2nd Floor)
Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023: Brotherhood Night, 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson Park (Outside North and South Towers)

MULTICULTURAL GREEK-LETTERED GOVERNING COUNCIL RECRUITMENT

Multicultural Greek Council has several opportunities for membership. Some requirements to be aware of include:

Must be at a second-semester freshman or have an ESU GPA
Each organization has a minimum GPA requirement
- Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc: 2.5 cumulative GPA
- Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc: 2.75 cumulative GPA
Community Service hours and other activities required per organization

SORORITY RECRUITMENT

Sorority Primary Recruitment will begin Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023 with an informational meeting to answer any questions you have about the process and to help you get registered. To receive more details about upcoming events and how to sign up for recruitment check out the Interest Form. Here is the schedule for recruitment, however times may vary.

Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023: Information Night, 6:00 pm in the Flint Hills Room (Memorial Union, 2nd Floor)
Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023: Orientation Night, 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the Preston Family Room (Memorial Union, 2nd Floor)
Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023: Meet the Recruitment Team, 6:00 - 8 pm in the Preston Family Room (Memorial Union, 2nd Floor)
Friday, Aug. 25, 2023: Round 1-House Tours, 4:00 - 10:00 pm in the Preston Family Room (Memorial Union, 2nd Floor)
Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023: Round 2-Sisterhood/Philanthropy, 9:30 am - 2:00 pm in the Preston Family Room (Memorial Union, 2nd Floor)
Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023: Round 3-Preference & Bid Day, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm in the Preston Family Room (Memorial Union, 2nd Floor)
Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023: Bid Day, 6:00 pm in Albert Taylor Hall (Plumb Hall)
