As a veteran, or dependent of a veteran, there are resources just for you to help make your educational goals reality. At Emporia State University, we’re here to offer assistance and support for a successful college career.

Financial Assistance

Our financial aid office is here to help you complete the necessary steps needed to use your educational benefits. You can find more information at emporia.edu/veterans, including contact information, FAQs, residency information and more.

As a veteran, you may also be eligible for a number of veteran-specific scholarship opportunities through Emporia State University.

On-Campus Resources

As a veteran or dependent, you have access to certain resources and groups on campus dedicated for people with your experiences and background.

  • Student Veteran Center: The Student Veteran Center is your dedicated space to connect with others and take advantage of resources to help you study and learn.
  • TradPlus & Veteran Orientation: We know you may have different experiences and needs as a student veteran. The Center for Student Involvement offers a dedicated TradPlus, Transfer & Veteran student orientation at the beginning of the fall semester to help you get connected to the resources you need for a successful college career.
  • Student Veterans Association of ESU: This organizations provides a way for you to promote the interests of student-veterans on campus at Emporia State.

Community Resources

The city of Emporia has a long history of supporting veterans. Alongside ESU, the community of Emporia, Kansas is devoted to providing Hornets with resources in order to thrive.
