The First-Year Seminar is a one-credit hour course that meets once a week during either the fall or spring semester. CW 101 Freshman Sem-University 101 is a highly-interactive course designed to help you adjust to college and to life at Emporia State by teaching you strategies for personal, social and academic success.

This is not a lecture course! You will engage in hands-on activities and meaningful discussions about how to have a successful college experience. Three out of four students who take this seminar recommend it to other new students.
