The modules available are:

  • Student Loans
  • Student Loan Repayment
  • Taxes

Badges will be awarded upon completion of each module through the ESU Credly site. Students are encouraged to display these badges on LinkedIn and other social media platforms to recognize additional education received while at ESU.

Reference Guide to Repaying Student Loans

The Federal Student Aid website includes information and advice about managing student loan debt, a list of key telephone numbers and websites, and a variety of useful charts. Topics include: the student loan interest deduction, consolidation loans, repayment plans, income-based repayment, public service loan forgiveness, dealing with financial difficulty, default, deferments and forbearances, loan rehabilitation, budgeting tips and loan cancellation.

Emporia State has hired ECMC Solutions, a non-profit organization to help you navigate your federal student loans!

With a mission of student success, Solutions provides FREE one on one counseling:

  • Discuss options for manageable repayment
  • Learn important facts about forbearance and deferment
  • Access your balance and know your servicer
  • Discover best practices to manage your loans
  • Guidance if you fall behind on payments or are nearing default
  • Financial literacy resources

ECMC Solutions counselors will always introduce themselves by name and let you know they are calling on our behalf. Solutions counselors call only from U.S. area codes such as (651) and (612). ECMC counselors will ask you to confirm your identity to ensure we are speaking with you before sharing any information.
