MS - Instructional Specialist: Elementary Content Concentration
This 30-credit hour online program is intended for the teacher interested in enhancing their understanding of elementary content. The program equips teachers with the knowledge and skills needed to be an instructional leader in the classroom or serve as an instructional coach/strategist.
Graduates from this program will develop their:
- Teaching in the core elementary subject areas, including reading, English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies
- Awareness of current trends and opportunities in elementary education
- Coaching and leadership skills in order to support teachers

Students must submit official bachelor’s degree transcripts containing at least 60 credit hours of coursework and final grades. Any additional transcripts from college credit accumulated after the bachelor’s degree MUST be submitted if you will be using these credits for transfer credit or for last 60 GPA. Transcripts are considered official when they arrive in the Graduate Office in a sealed envelope from the issuing institution or are received through a secure electronic transcript service to gradinfo@emporia.edu.
