In the Emporia State University School of Science and Mathematics, we're dedicated to empowering your educational pursuits and rewarding your commitment to excellence.

Our commitment to supporting you and your educational journey is reflected in the fact that over 90 percent of qualifying students receive at least one if not multiple scholarships from the School of Science and Mathematics.

Stackable scholarships for incoming freshmen or transfer students are available and can be combined with other scholarship offers you receive from the university or outside entities.

Many of these scholarships are renewable when you meet requirements.

To kickstart your scholarship journey, begin by completing the general ESU scholarship application. Then browse additional opportunities suggested for you in the portal.


SMaRT KS 21

Take advantage of Emporia State University’s incredible teacher preparation program, without the burden of substantial student loan debt!

The SMaRT KS 21 program, available at ESU only, offers you big-time scholarship dollars to complete your education degree in mathematics or science.

You’ll get paid to practice your skills in real classrooms, with guidance from current teachers and ESU faculty who are there to help you succeed.

Science and mathematics education students at ESU were awarded over $200,000 last year alone, with the minimum award starting at $3,000.

Huntley or Simpson

Match with a faculty mentor and earn a renewable $2,000 Huntley or Simpson Scholarship!

Available to ESU mathematics students, this award is stackable with the ESU Presidential Scholarship and other awards, offering you substantial support for your educational goals.
