The workings of The Teachers College involve a number of people. From the committees and councils overseeing various aspects of its programs, to the faculty and staff that teach it, the people who work with and for the college prepare students to become professionals who share a common goal: to help others.

Academic Leadership Committee - The Academic Leadership Council assists the dean with the overall administration and evaluation of The Teachers College and functions as the college's curriculum committee for all initial and advanced programs.

Committee on Advanced Programs - The Committee on Advanced Programs is the duly authorized committee of The Teachers College that has governance responsibility for graduate (advanced) programs.

Council on Teacher Education - The Council on Teacher Education (CTE) is the authorized council of the university that has governance responsibility for undergraduate (initial) teacher education programs.

Dean’s Advisory Council - The purpose of the Dean’s Advisory Council is to advise and report to the dean and faculty, as appropriate, on matters of interest to the faculty of the college.

Emporia Teachers Council - The purpose of the Emporia Teacher Council is to promote increased dialogue within the Emporia educational community and to strengthen professional relations between the college, Emporia USD 253 teachers and administrators, and the community.
