Academic Leadership Council

The Academic Leadership Council reviews curriculum proposals; discusses routine administrative matters; conducts reviews of internal, external and institutional data resulting in Unit assessment; and focuses on issues of broad concern to the welfare of the college.

The membership of the Academic Leadership Council includes the dean, associate dean, department chairs, the director of the Office of Field Placement and Licensure, director of The Resource and Outreach Center, and a faculty representative.

The Academic Leadership Council assists the dean with the overall administration and evaluation of The Teachers College and functions as the college's curriculum committee for all initial and advanced programs.

The Academic Leadership Council conducts weekly meetings during the academic year and as necessary during the summer session.
