Peer Academic Leaders

Peer Academic Leaders (PALs) are current students who demonstrate a knowledge of the elements to be a successful student at Emporia State University. Every incoming student who has a First Year Advisor will automatically have a Peer Academic Leader. PALs help students identify barriers to academic success and assist them in creating action plans for overcoming those challenges. PALs are also available to discuss opportunities in their majors and attend events with students on campus. Working directly with the Academic Advising Team, PALs help students maximize their potential for academic success by supporting the whole student and assisting them in gaining effective strategies and behaviors.
