Kasey Boyce started their role as Placement and Family Literacy Coordinator in November 2021. Their duties include pairing students from the intro to teaching courses with mentors in local schools to begin earning their tutoring hours before block/phase and finding field placements for practicum students to earn hours before they go into student teaching. Boyce also works with the Family Literacy Program. This program hires students to be paid tutors for K-9 reading and math programs in the Emporia area schools. Boyce earned their bachelor's in communication from Emporia State in 2018.
