Students & faculty traveled to Kansas City to tour the Linda Hall Library. It is the nation's largest independent research library devoted to the sciences, engineering and technology. They also ate at Genghis Khan and survived an Escape Room on the trip.

Chris Dobbs, ESU mathematics graduate and current Risk Analyst for Armed Forces Insurance, spoke to students in ESU's Introduction to Mathematics class. His talk was titled "How Math Helped Me Get a Job(s).

Dr. Qiang Shi received the 2016 KS MAA Distinguished College or University Teaching of Mathematics Award during the 2016 MAA Kansas section meeting at Fort Hays State University. Dr. Joe Yanik, Section Governor, presented the award.

Lezley Bellinger, an ESU Math and Econ. graduate and current Koch Analyst and Recruiter, shared some wisdom with Rob Catlett's Economics class.
