Interdisciplinary Studies About

The Department of Interdisciplinary Studies is dedicated to allowing students to be more involved with the creation of their programs of study, and to encouraging students to explore how differing areas of study can be combined and used to address complicated issues and problems by creating unique solutions.

Students get the opportunity to explore varying subjects from departments across the University and customize their programs of study to suit their individual goals. The department offers three interdisciplinary majors, Interdisciplinary Studies, Ethnic, Gender, and Identity Studies (beginning Fall 2020), and General Studies, and one interdisciplinary minor, Ethnic and Gender Studies
