Emporia State University's Department of Art is one of approximately 250 art departments nationally accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design. We offer a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art with studio concentrations in ceramics, engraving arts, glass, graphic design, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. Pre-art therapy preparation is available through our Bachelor of Science degree in Art with an emphasis in Psychology. Students wishing to teach art in preschool through high school pursue our Bachelor of Science in Education-Art.  Students who are interested in Art History often opt for the Bachelor or Arts degree in Art. We also offer a Bachelor of Science degree in Art for students who are interested in combining two areas of interest to design a degree according to personal goals.

Emporia State University’s Department of Art is now seeking a Photographer for a one-year appointment as a full-time Instructor for the 2013-2014 academic year. MFA in Studio Art, active exhibition record, and teaching experience preferred. Primary responsibilities include teaching Photography and possibly Foundation classes, and some coordinating of the photography and computer labs. Candidates must be able to teach digital and analogue photography.
