Emporia Symphony Orchestra

The Emporia Symphony Orchestra is an ensemble made up of 50-65 community and university musicians that performs 4-5 concerts per year on campus at Albert Taylor Hall as well as off-campus in various venues. Scholarships are available to both majors and non-majors for participation and awarded based on individual auditions. The Emporia Symphony Orchestra plays the standard orchestra repertoire ranging from Baroque to contemporary.

Chamber Orchestra

The Chamber Orchestra is primarily a string ensemble consisting of 20-35 students with additional woodwind, brass, and percussion players depending on the demands of the repertoire. The Chamber Orchestra performs 4-8 concerts per year on campus in Heath Recital Hall as well as off-campus in various venues. Scholarships are available to both majors and non-majors for participation and awarded based on individual auditions. The Chamber Orchestra covers a broad range of music from Baroque to contemporary.
