Art Forum Visiting Artists

Art Forum is a course designed to expose students to the work of active professional artists and people working in related fields, in order to gain an understanding of their influences, thinking processes, and methods of working. Some of the speakers at Art Forum lectures may discuss sensitive and controversial topics that may be upsetting to some individuals.

In addition to attending artist lectures, students may earn participation points for being active in the art community in many ways, such as participating in art workshops, visiting art museums, attending art conferences, completing the Emporia First Friday Art Walk passport, and exhibiting their artwork.

Mark your calendars for the 3 Art Forum lectures this semester. All lectures will be at the Lyon County History center, located in the heart of Emporia at 711 Commercial Street in conjunction with Emporia First Friday (EFF) on the following dates and times:

Fall 2023 Semester
