Program description

This program emphasizes a holistic view of the family, disability, and rehabilitation services to individuals, teaching students how to work with clients who are disabled or handicapped.

A minor in Rehabilitation & Disability Studies requires each student to complete a total of 17 credit hours in rehabilitation courses. A student minoring in RDS will not participate in the field site experience or do an independent study.

Individuals wishing to minor in Rehabilitation & Disability Studies are required to meet the following conditions prior to being accepted in the program:

  2. have completed either RE 290 Introduction to Rehabilitation Programs or RE 291 Survey of Disabling Conditions with a grade of B or better.
