Emporia State's Regional Reading Recovery University Training Center has hosted an annual Kansas literacy conference since 1999. Previously called the Regional Reading Recovery® & Early Literacy Conference, in 2022 the event was renamed the Literacy Changes Lives Conference. The national conference is held every year in Ohio.
