Instructional Design & Technology
The Graduate Certificate in Teaching with Technology will provide teachers with a comprehensive understanding of instructional theories and models used to support the integration of technology into teaching as well as an in-depth look at essential technology tools for the classroom. This is an option for teachers who wish to learn more about integrating technology into teaching. This certificate may provide a feeder into the existing MS in Instructional Design and Technology program as well as bolster graduate enrollment at the university via elective credits. Potential students could also be those who either already have a master’s degree or for whatever reason, do not want to complete another master’s degree.
Students can begin this certificate during the Spring, Summer, or Fall semester depending on course availability. The courses in this certificate are offered predominantly online. The certificate can be completed to supplement any other graduate degree program; however, courses completed for this certificate can be applied toward a masters degree in Instructional Design and Technology (if completed within seven years of the first course).
