Dr. Lendi L. Bland has been a member of the Department of Elementary Education / Early Childhood / Special Education faculty since 2000.  Previously, she was an assistant professor and licensure officer at Sterling College and an adjunct faculty member at Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky.  She also taught fourth, fifth and sixth grades in Kansas and arts/humanities at two elementary schools in Russell Springs, Kentucky.  She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Emporia State, and is currently completing a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction at Kansas State University.

At Emporia State, Dr. Bland teaches a variety of methods courses, Introduction to Teaching, Reading and Writing Connections and is the coordinator of PDS sites in the Lebo/Waverly and North Lyon County school districts.
