|Wages:||$2,520 stipend ($210/week), declining balance allowance|
|Work Schedule:||[Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun] - Approximately 40 hours per week including nights and weekends|
|Job Duties:||The Summer Assistant (SA) provides service and support for summer conference participants, summer residents, and Residential Life. This position requires flexibility, a positive attitude, effective customer service skills, and the willingness to represent Residential Life. Summer Assistants assume a variety of roles, thus they will exhibit effective interpersonal and communication skills, take initiative, fulfill a range of administrative tasks, and monitor the safety and security of residential communities. This position requires the completion of regular maintenance and custodial tasks that sometimes include extensive physical activity. On-call responsibilities require nights and weekends spent in the residence hall as part of the responsibilities of the SA position. Summer Assistants must live in the residence hall for the duration of summer. SAs will report to designated professional staff, typically a Complex Coordinator.|
|Minimum Qualifications:||Selected candidates must have the ability to perform physical labor, enroll in fall courses at Emporia State University, enroll in no more than three credit hours of summer classes, have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, and successfully completed a mandatory background check.|
