Job Duties: The Editor-in-Chief of The Bulletin is the leader of Emporia State’s student newspaper. He or she must have a strong vision for the newspaper and is in charge of the overall design and content of the paper. The Editor-in-Chief also hires, trains and supervises The Bulletin’s staff, which ranges from 20-30 students. Other duties will be assigned. Works closely with The Bulletin’s Advertising Manager, Business Manager, Adviser, Managing Editor, Student Media Board and the newspaper’s printer and pre-press staff. The Bulletin’s circulation is 2,300 and its print edition comes out every Thursday during the fall and spring semesters. The Bulletin’s number one priority is to report campus news in a timely and accurate manner and work to serve the students of Emporia State University.
Minimum Qualifications: Previous editorial and journalistic experience recommended.
