First-Year Mentoring Program
Receive personalized guidance as you navigate your first year at Emporia State
The First-Year Mentoring Program provides an opportunity for individual and personalized guidance as you navigate your first year at Emporia State University. Mentors and mentees are encouraged to meet as regularly as they both feel is best. Your mentor is someone who has been there and is excited to provide valuable advice and support. They will serve as a resource for you as you begin your journey at Emporia State.
After you complete the registration form below, the Center for Student Involvement staff will match you with a peer mentor. We aim to match you with a mentor who we feel can provide the best guidance based on your unique needs. As an ongoing program, you can sign up anytime during the semester. This pairing will take place within two weeks after the request for a mentor has been completed when classes are in session (pairings are subject to availability during winter break and summer). Once a match has been made, you will receive an introductory text or phone call from your mentor. This will give you the opportunity to meet each other over the phone and make plans to meet in person.
