About

  • A new Idaho cohort begins each August, which is the fall semester.
  • Application materials are reviewed upon their receipt, and students are notified of their acceptance status as soon as decisions are made. The earlier all application materials are received, the earlier a decision can be made. Applications for Fall 2019 are due by July 1.
  • SLIM Idaho students are admitted as a group (cohort).
  • Most classes are taught during two intensive weekends with online work spanning the entire semester.
  • There is one weekend intensive location in Idaho: Boise.
  • Hours for classes are Fridays from 6-9 pm and Saturdays from 9:15 am – 5 pm.
  • SLIM Idaho students graduate with a Master of Library Science from Emporia State University. Emporia State University, located in Emporia, Kansas, is accredited by the American Library Association (ALA).
