School of Business Admission Requirements

Admission Requirements

  1. Cumulative grade-point average of 2.25, effective for students entering ESU, another four-year institution, or a community college for the first time as a full-time student in the Fall of 2000 and thereafter. This cumulative grade-point average increases to 2.35 for students admitted to the School of Business.
  2. Completion of 51 hours.
  3. Completion of the following courses:

AC 223 Financial Accounting

BC 103 Principles of Economics I

EG 101 Composition I

EG 102 Composition II

IS 113 Intro to Microcomputer Applications

MA 110 College Algebra

  1. It is strongly recommended that

BC 104 Principles of Economics II

IS 213 Management Information Systems

SP 101 Public Speaking

be completed prior to admission to the School of Business. If these courses are not completed prior to admission, the student must enroll in these courses the first semester after admission and every semester thereafter (including summer semesters) until these courses are successfully completed.

  1. Prior to being admitted to the School of Business, each student will be encouraged and assisted in developing comprehensive knowledge of University and School of Business curriculum and degree requirements.
