Would you like a career where you see the results of your efforts? Are you interested in business, yet want the rewards and satisfaction from teaching others? Business Education majors will learn how to effectively teach business and computer classes at the middle and secondary school levels. Emporia State University is one of very few universities in the state to offer a program that prepares licensed business teachers!

Where will this degree take you?

As a Business Education major, you will leave ready to teach middle and secondary school students (grades 6-12) about the nuances of business.

Becoming a middle or high school business teacher through ESU

The teacher education program available for students wanting to teach at the secondary level – meaning junior high, middle, or high school – is a joint responsibility of this department and the department overseeing middle and secondary education.
