Keri Cerda - Housing Placement & Information Coordinator
Hello! This is my second year as the Housing Placement and Information Coordinator for Emporia State and I am loving it! Housing and Residential Life is one of my biggest passions. I lived on campus all four years at the University of Central Missouri while I was working toward my bachelor degree. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communication and a minor in Public Relations. While I was at UCM I worked for University Housing for three years and an Office Assistant and Summer Conference Assistant.
Working for housing while in college was a great experience and lead me to Missouri State University to get a Master of Science in Student Affairs in Higher Education and enable me pursue working in Residential Life in a professional setting. While I was in graduate school I was able to work in a variety of offices: Career Services, Citizenship and Service Learning, Residence Life, and Student Conduct. I was also able to complete a summer housing internship at Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina. Working with and for students is something that I love to do. I think if doing something can impact at least one person positively, it is worth doing.
You will most likely meet me at one of the Black and Gold Days or your Hornet Connection. I spend a lot of my time working on the housing contracts and making room assignment. I also help supervise the student office assistants in our main office. I try to always have some chocolate available in my office so please stop in and say hello! Feel free to email at email@example.com or give me a call 620-341-5114.
