(Prerequisite, must have a grade of ?C? or higher in MA 110 or MA 111.) This course will prepare prospective elementary and middle school teachers to know, understand, and use the basic principles and concepts of mathematics involving sets, whole numbers, integers, rational numbers, and real numbers. Each student enrolled in this course must complete a departmental arithmetic proficiency exam. This exam is a significant part of the course grade and to receive any points a score of 80% or above must be achieved.
