Psychology

Psychology provides undergraduate study for those students who plan either to enter the workforce upon graduation or do graduate work in psychology. Undergraduate preparation is also offered for students who plan to teach psychology at the secondary level or minor in psychology.

Why should you study psychology at Emporia State University?

At the graduate level (master's degree), training is provided in Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Experimental Psychology, School Psychology, and - in conjunction with other key departments - Trauma-Informed Education: Social-Emotional Learning and Psychological Well-Being Certificate. The Specialist in Education degree is also offered in School Psychology. In addition, the discipline offers an online program for the certificate in the psychology of learning. Psychology is part of The School of Applied Health Sciences at Emporia State University.

About Psychology

Psychology consists of the following degree programs: BS/BA/BSE in Psychology, MS in Clinical Psychology, MS in Psychology with concentrations in School, Educational, and Experimental Psychology, and the Ed.S. in School Psychology.
