Your student's next steps

Hornet Connection

Attend a Hornet Connection. At Emporia State, Hornet Connection is where you will meet with your academic advisor, enroll in classes and get your student ID. You'll also learn important information about campus resources and college life and meet fellow classmates.

Choose Housing

At Emporia State you have a variety of on-campus living options so you'll feel right at home. Some ESU students are required to live on campus. See the Live-on Requirement page for more information.

E-Experience

E-Experience is a free two-day, overnight event that takes place on the Emporia State University campus. At E-Experience, you will participate in a variety of hands-on activities, allowing you to create connections with other new Hornets. Each session begins with check in at 1 p.m. and is complete by 2 p.m. the following day.

Textbooks

You will order books prior to your fall semester and you pick them up before classes begin. Our campus bookstore, Barnes & Noble will price-match if you find a lower cost for your textbooks elsewhere. View our campus Bookstore here.
