Greetings from the Hornet Nation!

Emporia State University is engaging fully in its 2015-2025 strategic plan The Adaptive University.  Its vision: Changing lives for the common good and its mission: Preparing students for lifelong learning, rewarding careers, and adaptive leadership are driving crucial decisions.  The university holistically embraces its four core values: excellence, respect, responsibility, and service.  Meanwhile, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the Campus Master Plans are synchronously evolving the institutional learning environments.

Accreditation serves a key role in ensuring that students receive a top quality education. Emporia State University is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. In addition, specialized accreditation of major degree programs is recognized in all of the university’s colleges and schools (College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, School of Business, The Teachers College, and School of Library and Information Management).
