Emporia State Now Offering $63 College Courses to Area High School Students

April 19, 2024: High school junior and seniors who want a Jump Start on their college careers now have an option to take college classes on the Emporia State University campus for just $21 per credit hour. This scholarship offering to our regional high school students is another example of the university’s commitment to reduce costs for students and their families.


ESU Screening of ‘Hot Times in the Heartland’ Postponed

Because of forecasted bad weather, the on-campus showing of “Hot Times in the Heartland” originally scheduled for Thursday, April 25, is postponed. The rescheduled date is Monday, April 29, at 6 p.m. in Science Hall 72. A question-and-answer session with the filmmakers will follow the free screening.


Library Celebrates Literacy with Bilingual Event

Emporia State University Libraries and Archives will host a bilingual literacy event to celebrate and promote literacy in children on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to noon. The event will take place in the grassy area in Kellogg Circle near William Allen White Library. Rain moves activities inside the library.
