Kansas Reading authors to appear at Town Crier

The Flint Hills Council of the Kansas Reading Association is joining with Emporia State University to host the 2011 Kansas Reading Association State Conference Thursday and Friday of this week. The conference theme is “Literacy Changes Everything!” The conference celebrates Kansas readers and writers.

A special feature of the conference is a session with seven Kansas authors: Roy Bird, Beverley Olson Buller, Lisa Harkrader, Paul Miles Schneider, Roderick Townley, Wyatt Townley, and Andrea Warren.  In addition to their appearance at the conference, the authors will be at Town Crier Bookstore to sign copies of their books starting at 4 p.m. on Friday, October 21.  The public is invited to get acquainted or reacquainted with these Kansas authors.
