ESU’s Heasley to take on new role

August 15, 2011

Today, Interim President H. Edward Flentje announced that the Emporia State University’s executive director of University Advancement, Judith “Judy” Heasley, will begin work on special projects at the Kansas Board of Regents beginning August 22.
“I believe this assignment will be a productive application of Judy’s skills and broad experiences,” Flentje said.
“I am looking forward to working with Regents staff and assisting with critical projects that support improvements in the Kansas higher education system,” Heasley said.
Heasley will relinquish oversight of ESU’s alumni activities. With the change, Alumni Relations will report to the president.
Before coming to ESU in 2007 as Foundation president and CEO, Heasley held positions of responsibility at Arizona State University, Fort Lewis College, Texas Tech University and Weber State University.  She has been active with various organizations in the Emporia community including the Emporia Rotary Club and serving on the board of trustees for the United Way of the Flint Hills.
