Each year approximately $15,000 in departmental scholarships are awarded to our students from 11 funds. More than 90 percent of qualified applicants receive one or more of these scholarships. They usually cover 10-25 percent of in-state tuition for our students.
Mathematics students have also been successful in receiving the esteemed Shepherd Scholarship and Endly Scholarship from ESU.
The Huntley Scholars Program is a new prestigious scholarship/mentor program that becomes available to incoming mathematics majors during the 2017-2018 academic year. It is a renewable $2,000 scholarship. Teachers/counselors are encouraged to nominate any high school students they feel would make good candidates for the program, but a nomination is not required to be considered. Any high school student planning to major in mathematics can apply on their own. Finalists for the program will be contacted in mid-January and will come to campus to visit/interview with the department in mid-February.
Students wanting to apply for the Huntley Scholars Program and departmental scholarships need to fill out and submit the following form:
Students who apply for the Huntley Scholars Program but are not selected for the program will be considered for departmental scholarships automatically and do not need to reapply.

November 17, 2017--Deadline for teachers/counselors to submit Huntley Scholars student nominations
December 15, 2017--Deadline for students to submit form for Huntley Scholars consideration
January 31, 2018--Deadline for students to submit form for departmental scholarship consideration
Mid-January 2018--Invites sent to Huntley Scholars finalists
Mid-February 2018--Visit/Interview of Huntley Scholars finalists
