Pursuant to Section 20 CFR 656.10, you are hereby notified that Emporia State University intends to file an application for permanent alien employment certification for the following position:        

Assistant Director, Emporia State University, Overland Park, KS, $49,109/year. Directs and coordinates the overall operations of a satellite location including but not limited to facilities, human resource administration, financial management, providing direct support for students and instructors and serving as the liaison with outside agencies, community organizations and the main campus.  Administers payroll for the maintenance department, collecting payroll information from department employees on a weekly basis; reviewing the collected information to make sure it is complete; forwarding all appropriate documents to the business office for processing.  Provides leadership and direction in all aspects of administering ESU-KC.  Establishes and implements short and long range organizational goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness and offers changes for improvement.  Directs and supervises 2 academic advisors and oversees administration of policies, procedures, facilities, programs and student services. Represents ESU and ESU - KC to various internal divisions as well as externally to the media, building management, governmental agencies, community & civic groups, prospective students, university alumni and the general public. Supervises all events and activities at ESU - KC. Plans, develops and implements marketing strategies for events and programs, both academic and non-academic pertaining ESU.

Requires:  Bachelor’s degree in Business or Student Personnel, Higher Education or related.  Ability to obtain master’s degree within one year.  4 years of experience in higher education.  Experience should include working with the adult learner and non-English speakers, social networking skills.  Background check required.  AAEOE.
